Can someone tell me what it is that people older than me have against people of my age ? I went to the bank today to find out some information about applying for a student loan (which I know exists) ... Decay and I decided that in order to get a wedding/etc happening, we'll have to do some fixing up of finances right now ...
The lady I talked to was rather insistent at first that I needed to be a graduate to be able to apply for a student loan, until she sort of read the brochure a little slower and it dawned on her that yes I do indeed have at least the minimal qualifications to apply for this kind of loan... she still gave me the impression that she didn't really want to help me with any questions I might have had about applying for this said loan, but was more interested in plugging home and contents insurance for when Decay starts renting ... all the information she told me was pretty much read straight out of the brochure (yes, with tip of pen keeping track of the words...) and nothing I couldn't have found out from just reading the brochure myself (which I'd already done) ... how condescending can you get when you find out I'm engaged to be married? I know I look young, and you can probably see my date of birth when you look up the records to see what accounts I already have with you, but ... geez! A little less looking down on me would go a long way ... She was more interested in telling me about the Home and Contents Insurance policy for when Decay moves out than to talk to me about the ins and outs of the student loan ...
It's not just me, is it?
