Hi hi, we're all happy and everything in the 'Happiest place on Earth!' (their quote, not mine), and we're on the internet kiosk thingy now ... so far, we've spent 1.5 days wandering about the phenomenon that is Disneyland, and we're all bright and shiny and happy ! We've also got access to a coin-op laundrette, so while Decay's checking the progress on the dryer, I'll attempt a quick post.
Firstly, a couple of quick requests:
- Lumpy: don't kill the fishies! Nah, we know you'll be right with them
- DK the Elder: Could you email us the postal address for the parentals Decay? We only have the physical address in our spreadsheet ...
What else have we been up to? Well, we eventually left New York, not that much later than the scheduled departure time, and caught the appropriate shuttle bus to our hotel, which is walking distance from the whole Disneyland complex. On our first night here, we checked out the Downtown Disneyland section, and went .. eeeeeek! Lego store !!! We kept our wallets closed for the time being though, because we still had a bunch of Disneyland related stuff to do as well ...
We've been on a bunch of rides, the rollercoaster in Disneyland California is very kewl ...
I have to keep this short because I only have about 3 minutes left, but one thing Decay and I have noticed is that it is really quite difficult to find hot food out here that isn't dodgy Chinese, dodgy pizza, or deep-fried to within an inch of our cholesterol levels hitting the roof. We managed to find one such place last night after a lot of walking about, and they'll probably get repeat customers out of us because of it ... Mum and Dad - the IHOP we visited about 10 years ago is still here!
OK, maybe when we get better internet time rates I'll type some more...
