Seeing as it has been a little while since I had my eyes tested, I figured it might be a good time to do so while I'm not at work ...
The good news is that my eyes haven't changed in terms of short-sightedness in this time, just the astigmatism in my left eye. I put my current glasses in for a lens swap over, and have spent the last week dragging Decay along to various Spectacle Emporiums ™ so someone could show me what I looked like while I tried on glasses when I can't see a thing.
I'm still a bit up in the air about whether new frames are in order, and I can take a little while to decide ...
Here's the pics, brought to you by Decay's Sony Z1010, known as Pocky.

This would be my usual pair of glasses. I wear these 99% of the time I'm awake, and sometimes when I'm asleep too. I'm actually not wearing this pair at the moment because they are currently having their new lenses fit. The glasses I'm wearing right now are oval in shape, and they're sort of tortoise-shell wire frames... They were also giving me headaches when I was trying to switch between wearing the regular glasses and the oval glasses because they sat slightly different on my face, and the lens material wasn't the same.

It's kind of difficult to tell from these pictures, but this pair of glasses is kinda greeny-brown in colour. I think they're a bit wide for my face, or the outside lower corners are too far out.

These are a similar colour, different design, and possibly different make of frames to the first pair. They're slightly less rectangular in shape than the first pair, in that the lower outside corners are not so right-angled. I kinda like this pair more than the first pair.

This pair? Makes me look even more cross-eyed than I do when I don't know what I'm supposed to be focussing on. I think they sit a bit low as well.

I can't actually remember this pair. They might be one of the Buddy Holly Droidy glasses I tried on at some point and Decay pointed the phone cam at me.

These glasses looked upside down when they were on the display thingy. I put them on, and they didn't look that weird except that they were probably a little wide for me, until you look at them from the side. Kinda quirky, in a greeny-brown colour again.

These were the only wire-frames I tried and had a picture for. They're purple and metallic. I kinda wanted something different to what I normally get though ...

These ones were kinda kewl, in that they're slightly wrap-around. Decay quite liked this pair because they were so different. I think they're a little wide for my face, but if I'm looking to get a pair of prescription sunnies and have a few hundred extra to spend, they'd be the ones I'd pick. They're also greeny-brown. Can you sense a theme going on with the frames?
I can't help the cross-eyed thing in most of the pics - without corrective lenses, my focus distance is probably no more than 15cm. Choosing glasses is kinda strange when you can't see what they look like with the mirrors provided. Anyone got a preference for any of these?
