Oh isn't it cute? Kill it! |

I am sick of good things being fucked up. We as a race seem to
feel the need to take anything that is clean, easy or just plain good
and screw it up.
Wilderness areas need roads in them so people can go and see the
"unspoiled wilderness". Oh, they need hotels and sewerage and
electricity as well. "Hey, where's all the animals go?", "Who
gives a shit, I'm busy getting pissed in the pool".
For us tech-heads the Internet is one of the great sources of fuck
up. A freely available medium we can all use to
communicate. Except for the viruses. And the Spam.
Our computers need more security than the average bank to make sure
they don't turn into rampaging zombie bot producers every time we look
up the weather on them.
And what of our entertainment? Because people are so busy ripping
off CDs and DVDs, the owners of the distributors are panicking and
putting in place ridiculous copy protection and viewing restriction
methods to "help us enjoy our entertainment". What a crock.
Everything good comes with a price, but we seem so hell bent on
avoiding paying it, that we rip ourselves off and end up with
nothing. I'm not saying things were better in the past, they
weren't. We've always been this stupid. I'm sure the first
homo-sapiens burned down each other's trees in order to get a better
view. Sometimes I just wish we would notice and maybe stop being
prats. I can't see it anytime soon, though.
